Agnes “Aggie” Branco Bello, 88, of Hilo died Feb. 11 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Laupahoehoe Point, she was a baker at Honokaa School and homemaker, member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Portuguese Cultural Club, founding member of Reed’s Bay Golf Club and member of several golf clubs. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Luncheon to follow at Carvalho Park pavilion. Casual attire. Survived by sons, Wendell (Netta) Branco of Honokaa, Paul (Melody Parker) Bello of Hilo, Moe (Stephanie) Bello of Keaau and Guy Bello of Hilo; daughter-in-law, Valerie Bello of Hilo; brother, Edwin (Bonnie) Castillo of Honokaa; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Kay Kazuyo Murashige, 86, of Hilo died Jan. 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, she was a teller supervisor for the former International Savings and Loan and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin. Visitation noon-2 p.m. Friday (Feb. 19) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. John Arthur Holmes, 87, of Hilo died Feb. 11 at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Clinton, Iowa, he was a self-employed handyman, U.S. Army Korean War veteran and deacon for Church of the Holy Apostles. Service with Holy Communion 4:30 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 20) Church of the Holy Apostles. No flowers. Hiroshi Saito, 82, Hilo, formerly of Pearl City, Oahu, died July 19 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired administrator for the City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks &Recreation and a graduate of Hilo High School Class of 1950 and University of Hawaii at Manoa. Clifford Hiroto Yamaguchi, 68, of Hilo, formerly of Pahoa, died Jan. 23 at home. Born in Olaa (Keaau), he was a retired insurance agent for Stan A. Kinoshita and Associates and member of Puna Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Waiakea Lions Club, lifetime member and “rooster” of Hilo Jaycees, and charter president of the former Hui ‘O Puna Jaycees.
